For my memory

I am terrible at journaling. As a "new" mom I think I will really want to remember these early days of Emma Kates life. Especially as we add to the Douglas fam (which will not be for a while by the way!)

So - this is for my benefit and if you like reading too - SUPER and thanks for loving my girl!

What is Emma Kate saying these days:

• Dog, Cat, Meow, Woof, Moo, cheese, shoe, tree, Maaaary, baby, baby G (for baby Jesus : ), Co-Co (Coltan), Eyya (ella), Jacob, dada, mama, Milla, mom-mom, nana (for Nana and banana), wawa (water), Papa,

What is Emma Kate doing these days:

• Smiling on command for pictures and she says cheese as she smiles (VERY FUNNY to ME!)


• walking very well


• climbing everything


• insists on putting on make-up, chapstick, deodorant, and everything else Mommy does!


• sits in any box she possibly can fit in


• plays in the Chick-fil-A playgroud and LOVES it - sometimes eats the nuggets, always likes the Icedream


• goes to school on Tuesdays with Ella - Miss Charlyn and Maxine are her teachers


• recognizes her friends and sometimes their moms


• snaps her fingers or claps to the beat of the music - usually in the car, sometimes during meals


• very frightened of Santa but does say his name and Ho-Ho-Ho - we are trying to see him again tomorrow - wish us luck!


• She LOVES other kids


• loves eating goldfish, string cheese, gerber cheeto things are her favorite these days, grapes (called bops),


• drinks her milk like a champ usually but always loves water - had OJ for the 1st time today


• carries a bag wherever and whenever she can


• LOVES DOGS - its almost weird how much she likes them

I will continue at another time - there are lots more but my brain cant think anymore! :)
