Another Summer Afternoon at the Douglas House

Art just left for Columbia, SC. Emma Kate and I went to the Y this morning then New York Pizza Exchange to see the train rush by in Vinings. Much to our dismay, not a single train blew by in the hour we were there. Maybe next time we'll check the train schedule! Thats when you know you are in toddler pleasing mode - checking train schedules that you used to hate if they stopped you as you try to get through Vinings. And now I just wish we could see one so EK could scream, "Choo Choo!" at the top of her little lungs!

When she woke up after her nap today we had some watermelon! YUM! She loves it! Its always all over her face and neck and tummy and legs. She is a sticky mess - even now - as she continues her feeding frenzy!

Potty Training Update - we are doing super - well, She is doing super! She is GREAT at this! almost 22 months - been at this for a month now and we've had very few "accidents as they say. She has just started telling me when she needs to go - which I think is great progress! She's the best! Well, the best to me..b/c to you, your baby is the best - which is how it should be!!!

And PS...EK would like to extend a congratulations to her BFF Ella who now is starting her attempt at mastering toilet training! Way to go ELLA!!!

  1. Totally loving the video...until you decided to get her to say WE and go AT. That was just too much. Someone's going to have to teach her to say Roll Tide!

  2. ok - i was laughing out loud when she was choking. i could sense the anxiety in your voice - not because she might really choke - but because she needed to do 'auburn tigers' on the video. ha! awesome stuff.
