Just what i needed.

I went to sleep last night feeling kind of defeated. Well, maybe thats not the right word, but I was tired, full, hungry, hot, cold, you name it, I was it. Just one of those days, you know. Actually my day was good- 29 meals made and delivered this week, awesome time with friends, great time with Art and my girls, sweet texts from my sisters and good conversations with dad (just to name a few.) I think I just was exhausted by 4 and started going downhill - does that make sense? No biggie - really! I woke up at 5 to the sound of H screaming. Poor girl still doesnt understand the concept of a full nights sleep, but I'll take 5am any day over 2 or 3 or 4am! We let her cry til 5:50 or so then I caved, fed her and put her back to sleep. What happened next is not typical (I usually conk out again til 7 or so) ...I got out of bed, grabbed my new book from mom Jesus Calling and read this,

"Give up the illusion that you deserve a problem free life. Part of you is still hungering for the resolution of all difficulties. This is a false hope! As I told my disciples, in the world you will have trouble. Link your hope not to problem solving in this life but to the promise of an eternity of problem-free life in heaven. Instead of seeking perfection in this fallen world, pour your energy into seeking Me: the Perfect One.

It is possible to enjoy Me and glorify Me in the midst of adverse cirumstances. In fact, My Light shines most brightly through believers who trust Me in the dark. That kind of trust is supernatural: a production of My indwelling Spirit. When things seem all wrong, trust Me anyway. I am much less interested in right circumstances than in right responses to whatever comes your way."

Ah! I love this! I needed this and thought there might be someone who could use encouragement like this as well!
